In addition to its mostly-restored historic city, Ladenburg is also known for its many open open spaces. The network of lawns and parks invite people to stroll along their paths, relax on the green, participate in athletic activity. And they offer children a place for their adventures. Enjoy “green” Ladenburg.
The Reinhold-Schulz-Forest Park has a large lake encircled by a promenade, but also has a glass house with an event room, a playground, and an animal enclosure as well as a beautiful garden planted by BUND (Friends of the Earth Germany). The park is well-suited for relaxing and appreciating nature.
In the framework of the Green project (“Little State Garden Show”), the garden areas for local recreation, which now have a collection of honors, have either been enlarged or partially newly designed. The “Grüne Ring” goes from the Benz Park over the fairground and along the Neckar river, which has a large sandy beach, past the vast Neckarwiese along the public pool and the Roman stadium, along the beautiful riverlet landscape to the Reinhold-Schulz Forest Park. The “Grüne Ring” goes across the historic town up to Martinstor and the Hexenturm, then through the so-called “Bleich” back to the starting point.
